RON’S GONE WRONG:
Leave it to Disney to make a charming buddy adventure animation feel so relatable and timely. Ron’s Gone Wrong tells the story of a socially awkward kid named Barney who forms a special “connection” (pun intended) with a digital device named “Ron”.
As usual, Disney delivers on the messaging. It’s a film about friendship and social commentary, which they have mastered in presenting in their films. This film reminded me of another recent Disney film with similar concept, Big Hero 6. A film that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Ron might have wrong, but there are plenty of right things about his film. It’s fun, endearing and it’s Disney! Do you really need any more convincing?
Bonus Features:
- A Boy and His B*Bot: When Jack Met Zach – Zach Galifianakis and Jack Dylan Grazer, the voices behind Ron and Barney, sit down to chat about a fun assortment of topics. From social media to skateboarding, the two actors from two very different generations tell us all about when Jack met Zach.
- Making Ron Right– Join cast and crew behind the scenes as they reveal the skill, dedication and friendship it took to bring this film to life. From writing the script to the voice-over booth, Locksmith’s artisans detail how they made Ron right.
- “Sunshine” Music Video – Song from the motion picture Ron’s Gone Wrong, performed by Liam Payne.
