We are in an era of movie remakes. Some have been good, others have failed. Pet Sematary is a successful remake. This is one of the more underrated movies of the year. Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow star in the modern adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.
This movie was genuinely chilling and disturbing. It has a lot of legitimate suspense. I was impressed by the quality surprising twists. The ending made an impression also.
Fans of the novel and the original will be impressed. I’d argue this version is better than the original. Quality directing, acting and scares make this a complete winner.
