TOMMY’S HONOUR:
This is a classic case of don’t jude a book, in this case movie by its cover. What’s appealing about a period piece movie about the origins of golf? A lot. This is a fantastic and interesting movie about Tommy Morris, the founding father of golf and the sports first star. The golf is the backdrop of this film, it’s the father and son relationship and Tommy’s personal life struggles that add so much more to the movie than just golf. I was skeptical coming into this movie as I told Jack Lowden and Ophelia Lovibond, the film’s stars. There is a lot to take away from this film, in addition to learning more about golf. This is a film for a lot more than just golf aficionados. Check out this film, you won’t regret it.
