Must See New October Blu-ray and Digital Releases

ATLAS:

I may be slightly biased (being of Polish origin), but Atlas is a really compelling short film. Written and directed by Maciej Kowalski and starring Tomasz Knot (Cold War). The story is about a patient at a psychiatric hospital that doesn’t speak and stand with his arms raised towards the heavens. His nickname is Atlas, but the gist of the story centers on everyone’s perception of Atlas. Is he fooling everyone? Is he mentally ill? What caused this phenomenon?

The movie explores the perception of mental illness and the outside perspectives that are fueled by speculations and opinions. It’s a thought-provoking movie with a message.
