Mushrooms are all over our planet, but did you know they are vital in our survival and our daily lives? I certainly didn’t realize that until I saw the fantastic documentary by Louie Schwartzberg. The film documents how fungi are vital components in our medicine, therapeutic treatments and environmental factors.
This movie is beautifully shot and illustrated. Featuring commentary from renowned scientists, mycologists, authors, botanists, physicians and food experts. It’s an educational and fascinating film. It opened my eyes to the organisms you often overlook and don’t think about. I love mushrooms, but this movie shows you the importance of them in our world.
