A group of daring (crazy) vloggers decide to explore a haunted sanitarium (asylum) to participate in a social media challenge. Will they encounter paranormal activity? You bet. Will any of them survive? You’ll have to see the film to find out.
Think Blair Witch Project, but German version taking place in a sanitarium. There you have it. Also, reminds me of a movie called Followed. This is a well executed (no pun intended) indie horror. It has solid moments of tension that delivers chills. There were a fun genuinely creepy moments along the way.
Like did they expect a place that was a lung treatment center turned place of human experiments was not gonna provide some scares? Add the nice cinematography and lighting and you have a naturally creepy element about this story that gets you from the start, without even trying.
I appreciated the resourcefulness of this film, doing a lot with little. Meaning, no need for fancy bells and whistles as they call it. Solid lower budget indie horror. It’s like going to a haunted house that feels all too real, but from the comfort of your couch. Ponder that as you watch it.
