Must See Movie Releases of the Week (March 13)

THE DEATH OF STALIN:

Joseph Stalin and comedy isn’t an association anyone would make, but this movie changes it all. The Death of Stalin stars Steve Buscemi, Jeffrey Tambor and Jason Isaacs. The plot revolves around the final days before Stalin’s death and the aftermath of it and his wacky regime trying to take control. This is one of the best satires of the year so far. Smartly written and acted. It’s one of those films that doesn’t have to try to be funny, it just is. Hilarious mischief happens in almost every scene. The dialogue is wise-cracking and witty. The spit scene is surely one that will stand out, so look out for it, you’ll know what I mean when you see it. If they can make Stalin into a comedic farce, then anything is possible when it comes to comedies. By the way, the movie is banned in Russia. Go figure.
