Must See Movie Releases of the Week (March 13)

KICKBOXER: RETALIATION:

I have really enjoyed the new Kickboxer franchise starring Alain Moussi. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Kickboxer: Vengeance was, which lead me to be hopeful about Retaliation. My hope paid off, as Retaliation is every bit as satisfactory as Vengeance was. The sequel doesn’t include Dave Bautista, but it makes up for it with a Mike Tyson. Jean-Claude Van Damme also returns as the legendary trainer Master Durand.

This time around, the story takes places a year after the events of Vengeance, where Kurt Sloane (Moussi) is kidnapped and imprisoned by a gangster, with an underground death fight as his only way out. Moussi has all the tools and martial arts abilities on-screen that made Van Damme popular in the late 80’s and 90’s. Moussi brings his best skills to this rebooted Kickboxer franchise and it’s plenty entertaining. Lots of great intense fighting action with some slick moves leaves this film a must see for any martial arts movie aficionado.

KICKBOXER: RETALIATION is available now on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital from Well Go USA Entertainment
