ALL IS TRUE:
This is the Shakespeare story you likely haven’t heard about. After he became world famous writer, his theater burned down, he was redirected back to his beginnings. This movie examines Shakespeare facing his unsettled past, failings as a husband and father, along with coming to terms with his son’s death.
First and foremost this film has a stellar veteran all-star cast, Ian McKellen, Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh. High level actors that really bring it. Branagh does good work as Shakespeare. It’s a slower paced movie, but one with an interesting plot. It’s the lesser known side and story of a man generations knew through his work.
