I’ve previously noted my enjoyment of Antonio Banderas in this role. Banderas plays a man whose lost it all with the death of his wife and daughter. He vows to avenge their death. While it sounds like a remake of Death Wish, it’s not. The character doesn’t go on a killing spree, but instead he transforms his mind and body to endure the harshest physical punishment that will lead him to those that caused him his family. Director Isaac Florentine choreographs all the fights with a real slick style. Overall, the movie doesn’t try too hard and keeps things simple and to the point. It’s a action drama with some depth.

Acts of Vengeance is out now on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On Demand

Once upon a time I watched Monday Night Raw on Monday nights. By coincidence I ended up hooked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. That lead to a Blog at Chicago Now called Bachelor Universe and a podcast of the same name. Now, I've decided to spread my wings and create this site that can be your Bachelor/Bachelorette destination. Aside from The Bachelor, in my personal life I'm a bachelor myself. Looking for the love of my life (not handing out many roses). I'm an avid animal lover. Have a rabbit and two turtles. I'm a film critic and co-founder of the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle (CIFCC). Lover of sports. Currently residing in the suburbs of Chicago (my hometown).
