A terrific story of compassion and care. Charlie Plummer delivers an excellent performance as a teenage boy named Charley who develops a special unique bond with a racetrack horse he tends to. This isn’t just some story about a boy and a horse, it’s so much deeper and heavier than that. Not only does the film depict a special bond between a human and animal, but it’s touches on a variety of issues. I really appreciated this film for what it stands for and the message it portrays. The love, care and finding solace in something in life that drives a passion and motivation to survive and keep going.
