LEAN ON PETE:

A terrific story of compassion and care. Charlie Plummer delivers an excellent performance as a teenage boy named Charley who develops a special unique bond with a racetrack horse he tends to. This isn’t just some story about a boy and a horse, it’s so much deeper and heavier than that. Not only does the film depict a special bond between a human and animal, but it’s touches on a variety of issues. I really appreciated this film for what it stands for and the message it portrays. The love, care and finding solace in something in life that drives a passion and motivation to survive and keep going.

Films like Lean on Pete touch your heart and make you feel. When it comes down to it the message of love and acceptance is at the core of the movie. If you’re seeking to be moved, then Lean on Pete will pull on your heartstrings and make you realize the cruelty and beauty of life sometimes go together.
