Tim Roth and Uma Thurman star in this slapstick comedy about a couple who needs to pay off a debt and hatch up a plan to steal a diamond ring to do so. The action travels across the ocean from England to LA. It very much feels like a British comedy. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments just from pure physical acting. I enjoyed seeing to rather serious dramatic actors in Roth and Thurman let it loose and have fun in this film.
Alice Eve, Sofia Vergara and Maggie Q from Nikita fame play supporting roles in the film. Films like this one have a place and purpose. The plot is wacky but it’s what makes it fun and enjoyable to watch. This is the sort of film to sit back and clear your mind without having to overthink anything.
