I’ve been a huge proponent of this film. It’s one of the best kept secrets of 2018. Logan Lerman stars a young writer who ends up gaining fame and then mysteriously vanishes. Lerman plays Sidney Hall through three different stages in life. The movie goes back and forth in time as the plot unveils. It’s also what makes it so compelling and keeps you on your toes. Writer and director Shawn Christensen deserves a ton of credit for putting together a movie that will engage you and suck you in intrigue.
Joining Lerman is a stellar cast that includes Kyle Chandler, Michelle Monaghan and Elle Fanning. This is a very well acted film with a intricate plot and interesting mysterious characters. It does require your attention to follow the plot and the twists and turns that come along the way. Lerman may be one of the finest actors that people don’t know about mainstream, he proves it again with the work he does in this film. The movie feels like a book that’s playing out in live action picture and color. Don’t sleep on this must see movie.
