SUBURBICON:

George Clooney directs his buddy Matt Damon in this crime mystery with dark humor. A 1950’s idealistic family turns into anything but idea when a series of violent acts ends up in a murder. The town is turned upside-down. I found the movie to be wild at times, but very intriguing.

Matt Damon takes on a role a lot more similar to the one in the Informant! than one the ones of the Bourne movies. It has the imprint of the Coen brothers all over it (they wrote the movie). The set design really instills a authentic 1950’s look. The cinematography is on point also. A talented cast alongside Damn that includes Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac adds to the quality acting.

Once upon a time I watched Monday Night Raw on Monday nights. By coincidence I ended up hooked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. That lead to a Blog at Chicago Now called Bachelor Universe and a podcast of the same name. Now, I've decided to spread my wings and create this site that can be your Bachelor/Bachelorette destination. Aside from The Bachelor, in my personal life I'm a bachelor myself. Looking for the love of my life (not handing out many roses). I'm an avid animal lover. Have a rabbit and two turtles. I'm a film critic and co-founder of the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle (CIFCC). Lover of sports. Currently residing in the suburbs of Chicago (my hometown).
