Matt Bomer is suiting up for a whole new challenge in Walking Out. Bomer plays a father trying to reconnect with his son on a hike in the wilderness of Montana. Bomer is terrific, arguably his best performance to date. Josh Wiggins plays the son and he’s equally impressive. This film is very intense and will give you cringeworthy chills (literally). As the father-son expedition into the wilderness goes horribly wrong on-screen, the struggle for survival feels very real. Walking Out isn’t a horror movie, but the depicted horrors of the struggle the characters go through in the freezing wilderness is scarier than most horror movies. It’s that kind of intensity that hits hard and keeps you engaged.

Walking Out is out now in select theaters (check your local listings)

Once upon a time I watched Monday Night Raw on Monday nights. By coincidence I ended up hooked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. That lead to a Blog at Chicago Now called Bachelor Universe and a podcast of the same name. Now, I've decided to spread my wings and create this site that can be your Bachelor/Bachelorette destination. Aside from The Bachelor, in my personal life I'm a bachelor myself. Looking for the love of my life (not handing out many roses). I'm an avid animal lover. Have a rabbit and two turtles. I'm a film critic and co-founder of the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle (CIFCC). Lover of sports. Currently residing in the suburbs of Chicago (my hometown).
