ALLURE:

Evan Rachel Wood stars in this intense drama about a troubled teen who is convinced by her cleaning lady to run away from home. Wood stars as Laura, an emotionally damaged woman who finds solace in a young girl facing pressures and discontent from her mother. The two form a complex bond as they try to escape reality and deal with their issues. Very good performances. Wood has really matured into a fierce performer. Not so long ago Wood would play the role of of the young girl Eva, but it’s interesting to see her play an adult rule. Lots of questions come about from this film. It hits on issues of loneliness, self-denial, manipulation and discontent. An interesting character study film with complex characters and issues.
