This action thriller is based on a novel by Kevin Wignall. It stars Sam Worthington as an assassin assigned to kill a young woman named Ella (Odeya Rush). Things don’t go according to plan when he in turn becomes her protector. Worthington is made for these sort of films, he’s a great fit for this role. The film has a lot of good action, it’s constantly moving. It has a bit of a Jason Bourne feel to it. I liked that the story moves across Europe, featuring some interesting locales. The Blu-ray and DVD offer three featurettes that are worthy of checking out also. This is a really solid under-the-radar action thriller that doesn’t disappoint.

The Hunter’s Prayer is out now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD

Once upon a time I watched Monday Night Raw on Monday nights. By coincidence I ended up hooked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. That lead to a Blog at Chicago Now called Bachelor Universe and a podcast of the same name. Now, I've decided to spread my wings and create this site that can be your Bachelor/Bachelorette destination. Aside from The Bachelor, in my personal life I'm a bachelor myself. Looking for the love of my life (not handing out many roses). I'm an avid animal lover. Have a rabbit and two turtles. I'm a film critic and co-founder of the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle (CIFCC). Lover of sports. Currently residing in the suburbs of Chicago (my hometown).
