Sting might brings out the biggest spider of them all. A horror bloody splasher could be a cult-hit, especially for those who love watching killer giant critters and insects takeover. The film stars Alyla Browne and Ryan Corr.
I spoke to Alyla and Ryan about Sting. Working together. What was the actual spider on-set. Plus, Alyla demonstrates how to dispose of a roaming spider. Plus, much more in this fun conversation.
REAL TALK:
I had a blast chatting with Alyla Browne and Ryan Corr. First time connecting with eather. Love Aussies in general, and these two were no exception. Alyla put on a show-and-tell with her pets. The cat wasn’t as surprising as the pet chicken. That was a fun and unexpected guest. I loved it. Alyla has so much personality. She’s a star in the making. Happy to see her in this lead role, she’s already appeared in several notable shows and films alongside some major stars, but this is her coming-out performance.
Ryan is super chill. Very engaging and fun. I enjoyed speaking with him also. The relationship Ryan and Alyla establishes was so nice to see. They have a genuine friendship, sort of a big brother and little sister more than a parent and child (which is the roles they plan in the film). Alyla shared a lighthearted prank she played on Ryan with his phone. I’m just very impressed with Alyla’s demeanor and maturity for a young girl. Very poised.
Ryan and I were so taken aback and impressed with the knowledge about animals and creatures Alyla has. I definitely learned the proper way to handle a spider, although it seems they have much bigger and imposing looking ones in Australia than what I encounter in the midwest.
Sting reminded me of a classic monster horror of the 80’s. It had that feel and even look. A throwback of sorts. Fun performance from Alyla in the lead role. That spider, you guys! Gonna have to see how that monster formed in the film.
