Read Time:54 Second

Welcome to the show, Ricky Tollman. Run This Town is the freshman feature from writer and director Ricky Tollman about a rising political scandal in Toronto in 2013 that was investigated by ambitious millennial staffers. The story mimics the Rob Ford controversy.

This is a film that millennials will be able to relate to. As a millennial journalist myself, I can definitely appreciate it. It has very good cinematography and sound.

The story isn’t action-packed or fast paced, but it’s compelling and driven with intrigue. A great young cast with the likes of Ben Platt, Nina Dobrev, Mena Massoud, Scott Speedman, Jennifer Ehle and Damian Lewis.

It’s not the political thriller in the quality of All The President’s Men or Spotlight, but it’s an intriguing watch with a talented cast. Run This Town is worth checking out as an under-the-radar movie pick.

RUN THIS TOWN‘ will be in U.S. theaters through Oscilloscope and On Demand and Digital through Quiver Distribution on March 6th, 2020
