The Burnt Orange Heresy hits NY & LA Theaters on March 6, 2020. In the lead-up to the release, I had a chance to be part of the press day event in Los Angeles. The star of the film Claes Bang and director Giuseppe Capotondi were part of the press junket for the day. Here is the interview from with Claes and Giuseppe, below.
REAL TALK:
Press junkets are a lot of fun. You sit in a hotel room that’s not as dark as it appears, but it’s filmed for you by the in-house camera crew. As a reporter, you just show up to a luxurious hotel room and do the interview and everything else is filmed and done for you. Pretty fantastic.
It was my first time speaking to Claes and Giuseppe, they were both great. I was their first interview of the day. I learned quickly that Claes is very blunt and a straight shooter. I really appreciate that quality. Giuseppe had a dry sense of humor that I also enjoyed. Some interesting answers to questions I posed.
Very cool experience. The movie is very smart, as I mentioned to them in the interview. Great cast that also included Elizabeth Debicki, Donald Sutherland and Mick Jagger! Claes is tremendous in it.
