This Week’s Must-See Home Entertainment Movie Releases (3/26)

The end of March leaves us with some interesting movie choices for the home entertainment release. Jennifer Lopez goes from department store employee to company executive in Second Act. A courageous leader emerges against the Nazis in Sobibor.

Jennifer Lopez is back to the beloved rags to riches story, this time with Second Act. Lopez plays Maya, a department store employee with big ambitions and great work ethic. Maya gets a unique opportunity to use her street smarts to transform a company, when an apparent mixup leads to a unique opportunity. This is classic JLo, charming, witty and likable. Her character is endearing and someone most can resonate with and champion for.

It’s romance, it’s comedy and it is JLo in a familiar role. All elements that lead to a winning combination and entertaining viewing experience. JLo isn’t the only star to light up the screen, joining her are Milo Ventimiglia (This is Us), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical franchise) and Leah Remini (“The King of Queens”), all contribute with entertaining supporting performances.

This is a date night winner or a perfect girls night after dinner. We don’t get many of these feel-good and make you laugh comedies that often anymore, so when we do, at least give it a shot. Second Act will comes in first when it comes to new must-see Blu-ray and DVD movie releases.
