Nicole Beharie might be having her best professional weekend of her career. Her back-to-back theatrical movie releases with Breaking and Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. She’s quite in-demand apparently and rightfully so, watch her performance in Breaking and it’s self-explanatory.

I spoke to Nicole Beharie about working on Honk for Jesus and Breaking. We also touched on the fantastic performances from Sterling K. Brown and Regina Hall. Could Nicole pull off being a bank teller and pastor in real life based on her performances? See her reaction to that suggestion.

REAL TALK:

I like Nicole, very fun and engaging. Great personality. It was my first time speaking with her, been a fan of hers though. She couldn’t have played any more polar opposite characters in these two films, but she nailed both of them. Her performance in Breaking is tremendous, playing a bank teller in a midst of a bank takeover. The intensity of that role and film is next level.

Looks like an unanimous sweep when it comes to those who want to see Sterling and Regina take on a church congregation. I asked the Ebo sisters and now Nicole. They all voted Sterling and Regina over their characters, I concur.

Make sure to check out Nicole Beharie in both of these films. Both very different movies, but worthwhile.
