Hayley Law and Ben Rosenfield are pushing stereotypes and the usual norm aside. In Mark, Mary and Some Other People, Law and Rosenfield play a modern couple that are looking to spice up their lives and relationship in a non-traditional way.

I had a chance to catch up with Hayley again, and Ben joined her this time around. They spoke about their characters in Mark, Mary and Some Other People. They shared their thoughts on non-monogamous relationships. What was it like for them to build on-screen chemistry and of course that “porn stache”.

REAL TALK:

It was nice catching up with Hayley again and having her actually remember me was nice haha. It was my first time chatting with Ben. I found him to be quiet and reserved. Seemed like a nice guy.

Ben and Hayley had some thoughtful answers about their characters and their feelings and views on open relationships. Ben mentioned how he researched and spoke to people who live a polyamorous lifestyle and what he learned about it.

I asked both of them where they envisioned their characters ending up. Hayley and Ben shared some interesting responses and theories. For those that haven’t seen the film or the interview, I won’t go into detail, but be alert for the spoiler warning if you want to know the ending.

Of course I had to bring up Ben’s “porn stache” he rocked in the film. So there was a story behind it. I spoke to writer/director Hannah Marks about it. Ben confirmed it was in the script and it was the first time he grew out the stache. I thought he rocked it like a badass! Mark, Mary and Some Other People is a cool modern kinda movie, check it out.

MARK, MARY AND SOME OTHER PEOPLE releases in Theaters and On Demand on November 5
