Any one of you who know or follow me know that first and foremost I’m a movie buff. So, of course I’d have to have a recommendation for something involving movies in my Gift Guide. When it comes to movies and classics Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is the hub for it all. I got the two essential movie guide books. There are two volumes which contain the “52 must-see movies and why they matter”. It has awesome pictures and each movie gets about a page or two of analysis, so it’s a easy read and the pictures make it colorful.
If you order it now from the TCM website, for the holidays they are offering a bundle along with a TCM mug, so that’s pretty cool. I really enjoyed both books and got through them rather quickly and learned a TON about classic movies, which span through various decades and a great variety of films are highlighted. If you know a movie junkie, I’d urge you to get them these books. Great present. Key highlights:
