Katie Cassidy has been one of my favorites. From watching her on-screen to my personal interactions with her, she’s super cool. Stephen is basically the prince of Hallmark. He’s starred in a slew of Hallmark movies as the leading man. So to see Katie and Stephen link up for Hallmark’s A Royal Christmas Crush makes too much sense.
Prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, I spoke to Katie and Stephen about working together on A Royal Christmas Crush and finding love with each other from it. They spoke about their relationship and first impressions of each other and a whole lot of banter between them.
REAL TALK:
Katie and Stephen have electric chemistry with one another. That was evident from the start of the convo. They are both fun, engaging and full of banter. So I was really surprised to hear that the ice castle structure was really made from ice! I was certain it was some set made with materials that resembled ice, but instead it was a real igloo. Pretty cool!
I saw the look on Katie’s face when I listed the co-stars his characters dated in movies, for a few seconds Katie thought I meant Stephen and not his roles, glad that got clarified quickly. I loved their sense of humor with each other. It’s cute. Additionally, they seem very compatible based on their shared interests.
