Casa Grande has made its way to Amazon Freevee, and you should be checking it out. The series I would describe as Yellowstone and Romeo and Juliet blend, with an emphasis on class, immigration, culture and family. This drama has a big ensemble cast and characters you will be drawn into.

I had a chance to speak to the main cast, director and show creators in the lead-up to the premiere of the show.

The interview with cast includes: John Pyper-Ferguson, Christina Moore, Madison Lawlor, Daniel Edward Mora, Kate Mansi, Keith Miller, Loren Escandon, Javier Bolanos, James Marsters, Laura Aleman. Show creators: Ali Afshar and Lauren Swickard and director Gabriela Tagliavini.

The group spoke about working with each other. Madison spoke about all her crying scenes. Kate spoke about smooching a baby cow. The whole group plays a rapid fire game about how how well they know each other with topics such as who among them is the funnies, most trustworthy, life of the party, mysterious and more!

REAL TALK:

This was a fun one. The biggest group interview I’ve ever done with over a dozen individuals. It wasn’t nearly as hard to keep up and get everyone engaged due to the chemistry they had with each other. A big portion of this interview was them talking about each other. I asked them questions to name individuals that fit a certain character type and everyone had input and thoughts. It was a lot of fun.

Christina Moore seemed to be the unofficial leader of the bunch. She also had a great handle on the personalities of her castmates. Some were more laid back than others and spoke less, but we had limited time so tried to get everyone involved as much as I could, which I thought went well.

Good bunch and it’s cool to see them get along and have a great feel for each other. Casa Grande is interesting and worth checking out.

CASA GRANDE is available now to stream on Amazon Freevee
