A new Christmas tradition has been born with Violent Night. David Harbour might be my new favorite Santa, he’s a badass in this role. The film is gory and super fun. Think Bad Santa, but violent. A new holiday classic has arrived and it’s not all snowflakes and gingerbread, it’s blood and guts kinda Christmas. Plus, it has some good witty humor also. VIOLENT NIGHT is out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on January 24 Olivia Colman is one of the premiere actors in the world. She has memorable roles and always seems to pick the right film script. Empire of Light is intriguing. It’s a love story centered around cinema. Takes place in a coastal English town in the 1980s. The cinematography is excellent with the visuals. Sam Mendes directs, so the film is in the hands of a skilled filmmaker. Michael Ward, who plays opposite Colman flourishes in his role as Michael. EMPIRE OF LIGHT is out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital as of February 21 One of the most anticipated sequels in years Wakanda Forever is here. Everyone was wondering what to expect after the sad passing of star Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther). Well not only was he honored in this film, but a new version of the Black Panther is introduced. The film has a strong female lead ensemble and it still has plenty of the Wakanda spirit in it. It’s a movie that will make you get up and cheer. The legacy of Black Panther will continue. BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on February 7 It’s been a decade since we seen the Puss in Boots. The colorful character from the Shrek franchise is finally back. Voiced by Antonio Banderas. Down to his final life, 8 down already, Puss heads to the Black Forest in search of the Wishing Star. The film is fun and enjoyable. Good for kids and family. PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on February 28 Steven Spielberg’s most personal story yet. Why? Because it’s based on his life and family. Witness the origin story of a young man who became one of the greatest directors to ever live. Academy nominated for Best Picture, so you know it’s well-made. It’s long, but if you ever wondered how this cinematic genius came to be, this is a worthwhile watch with some really good performances, especially from Gabriel LaBelle, who plays Steven Spielberg. THE FABELMANS is available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on February 14 The party is back! The re-imagined remake of the 90’s classic gets a new spin. This time around LeBron James’ house is the place to be. The film stars Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole. I enjoyed the originals and the new one is fun and entertaining and conveys the spirit of the 90’s version. Lots of laughs and fits the vibe for the new generation. HOUSE PARTY is out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital as of February 14 Two outcast drifters find one another in Bones and All. Starring Timothee Chalamet and Taylor Russell. Together they set-off on a long journey throughout America. Will love be enough to endure all their obstacles? I loved the cinematography of this film. Beautifully shot. This is an interesting film with good performances from two young rising stars. BONES AND ALL is out on Blu-ray and DVD, as of January 31st Simply described as a classic. One of the best cop dramas of all-time is, undoubtedly, Training Day. The amount of memorable lines that transferred to pop culture is just one example. Unforgettable performances from Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. For the first time it’s now available in 4K. This is a must-own movie for any film lover. It’s one of my personal favorites. TRAINING DAY releases in 4K UHD, Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital on February 28 Mickey and Minnie have been at it for 100 years! Volume 1 will feature 10 classic Mickey and Minnie shorts. You can expect the best of these classics from the 100 years of these iconic characters. Yes, the legendary “Steamboat Willie” is featured in this introductory volume. Speaking of introductions, each film i introduced by Mickey and Minnie! This is a great collection to check out for Mickey, Minnie and Disney lovers! MICKEY & MINNIE 1O CLASSIC SHORTS – VOLUME 1 is out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital as of February 7 People are talking about Women Talking. Oscar Nominated for Best Picture, the film stars a great ensemble of talented actresses that includes the links of Rooney Mara, Jessie Buckley, Claire Foy and Frances McDormand. Directed by Sarah Polley does a fantastic job adapting the bestselling novel into a film version. It’s an important film that asks poignant questions. WOMEN TALKING is out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on March 7 The life of the extraordinary Whitney Houston is depicted in I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The film is a celebration of the life and phenom that Houston was. A terrific performance from Naomi Ackie who plays Houston. The film chronicles Houston’s humble beginning all the way to the rise of her fame. The soundtrack and performances are unforgettable. It’s a must-see film, especially if you are a fan of Whitney Houston. I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY releases on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on February 28
