The game wasn’t all that interesting at halftime, but thee most interesting part of MNF Wild Card game was the halftime trailer release of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight. The upcoming Disney+ series stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy.
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
REAL TALK:
Trailer looked pretty good. Good mix of comedy and action, with some potentially horror-esque moments. I’m super intrigued with Oscar Isaac in the lead role. We get a hint of how he might become Moon Knight in the trailer.
To have Ethan Hawke be part of the series is a major coup. Disney+ has already an established track record of hit Marvel shows with Loki, Hawkeye and Wanda Vision, add Moon Knight to that list. It promises to be a good one.
New Original Series “MOON KNIGHT” Premieres Exclusively on Disney+ March 30
