Find me a film that can create an impact and points an emphasis about what is happening in our society and I’ll you that’s a film worth seeing. That’s what filmmaker Robin Bain accomplishes with Girl Lost and Girl Lost: A Hollywood Story. A Hollywood Story follows four women from different walks of life involved in the sex industry.

I had an opportunity to speak to Robin, plus the lead actresses Moxie Owens, Psalms Salazar and adult star Serena Maffucci a.k.a Brooke Haven. The ladies opened up about their experiences working on the film. Serena spoke about being a porn star and what has learned about the industry and advice she gives to aspiring actresses. The women talk about sex workers, the porn industry and America’s view of it.

REAL TALK:

I loved spending time talking to these fascinating women. Each one had great stories and experiences to share. I found Moxie to be incredibly intelligent and mature, especially for her age. Serena was terrific, sharing her experience working in the porn industry and offered some valuable advice to women who are looking to get into it. Psalms was transparent and opinionated, which I greatly appreciated. Robin is just the sweetest person, so kind and creative.

Robin does a fantastic job of illustrating the lives of these sex workers and the hardships they have to deal with. It’s raw and impactful. I appreciated how these women didn’t hold back and were willing to talk about anything. Even personal experiences and things that may be uncomfortable to some. It was really refreshing.

Moxie was just so knowledgeable about every topic. She took the role seriously and it shows. I was very impressed by her moxie (no pun intended). She’s a heck of a talent. Each woman had a distinct personality and it’s great that Robin saw that in each of them, because they bring an extra flair to their respective roles.

I can’t say enough good things about these amazing women. Their perspectives and boldness to make this film is phenomenal. This is the kinda film that can really impact someones life and be an eye opener. These women are one-of-a-kind. Beautiful and talented. Very engaging and kind. They gave me over an hour of their time, which is fantastic. I had such a blast chatting with them, and getting some legit dating advice! Can’t wait to see what’s next for them all. Hopefully Robin continues to tell these sort of stories. I’d highly recommend checking out this film.
