Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein are friends and co-workers. They have worked together on nearly every project they have done. I spoke to Adam and Zach about their latest release, the sci-fi drama, Freaks. The guys spoke about the process of making the film and a lot more.
Zach and Adam were really great to talk to. Very easy to connect with and become engaged in a spirited fun conversation. I was amazed to hear how they planned to make the movie in the house with each of them starring in the film and potentially shooting it on a DSLR or camera phone.
These guys were so committed to this project and the way they went about creating it is remarkable. One major thing that stuck with me was how they asked for favors from people who were experts in certain areas. It says a lot about them as individuals that they have no ego that deterred them from asking questions about things they didn’t have experience with.
I found Zach and Adam to be inspiring filmmakers and they are a great example of chasing your dreams and taking matters to your own hands and making it happen yourself. Freaks is a really entertaining ride with some impressive visuals.
‘FREAKS’is out now on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital
