Think of The Purge meets The Hunger Games meets the upcoming Ready or Not. That’s what the debut trailer for The Hunt (September 27) promises to be.
REAL TALK:
So first and foremost, this film has a really good cast. Oscar winner Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Betty Gilpin and Ike Barinholtz. This movie looks wild and intense from the trailer.
Few clips stand out, one of them being where everyone has their mouths collared. That took me by surprise. There was a sighting of a little piglet also, cute, but don’t think it will be that cute in the movie. This is a Blumhouse production, so that’s a big positive, considering Blumhouse has been producing some quality films.
I feel this trailer suggests you can expect a lot of blood and guts, in addition to some intense scenes. Seems that Betty Gilpin is the lead, among this strong ensemble, which is intriguing in its own right. This trailer succeeds in making me want to see and know more about The Hunt.
