Interview: Film Director Wash Westmoreland

Keira Knightley dazzles in Colette (out now in theaters). The man behind the movie, director Wash Westmoreland delivers a compelling, well written and detailed film. I had a chance to speak to Wash about the film. Check out our conversation about the film.

REAL TALK:

Wash is such a nice man. I spoke to him at the LA premiere and that just reinforced my opinion. I wish I had asked him about his partner Richard Glatzer, who sadly passed away and was a huge influence in Wash’s life. The movie was dedicated to Richard.

I really enjoyed hearing about his appreciation for strong unique female characters and working with Keira and Julianne Moore.

The man is a great filmmaker and storyteller. Still Alice was a tremendous and acclaimed movie, and so is Colette. I’d hope to connect with Wash again and hear more about his experiences and stories. He’s one of those people you just want to listen to when they speak.
