BATTLE OF SEXES:

Emma Stone and Steve Carell light it up in this true life story of tennis great Billie Jean King and her groundbreaking match against Bobby Riggs. This match may still be the most publicized and important exhibition sporting event ever. The movies is well crafted all-around. The story is depicts King’s personal and profession life, her marital affair and even her overall perception on and off the court.

Stone is tremendous. Not only does she look the part, but exudes an aura that only King could have had. Carell plays the perfect counterpart and embraces all that Riggs was. Flamboyant, arrogant, humorous and chauvinistic. The match itself is compelling enough to make you feel some tension, even though it’s just a small part of the movie. Battle of the Sexes offers everything you’d want, entertainment, great performances and investment in the characters and story.

Battle of the Sexes is available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital
