HOME AGAIN:
Romantic comedies and Reese Witherspoon go together like milk and cookies, a natural combination. In Home Again, Witherspoon plays a recently separated woman moves back to her hometown with her two daughters. Soon after she meets three young filmmakers who need a place to live, so naturally she lets them stay at her guest house. A lot of drama and romance ensue and the ex-husband comes back into the picture to muddy the waters even more. I like that there is a modern feel to this movie. It’s entirely feasible this is a situation that isn’t farfetched, especially where the story is set, Los Angeles.
Witherspoon is a natural in these sort of romantic comedy roles and the movie has enough witty banter to keep you laughing and engaged. Sometimes starting over isn’t as easy as it looks like, but this movie makes it fun.
