Bǎluțǎ comes over from Romanian club FCSB, where he most recently competed in Liga 1. He has previously competed in UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions with SK Slavia Prague of the Czech First League. Additionally, he has eight caps for the Romanian National Team.
“Alex arrives with a wealth of experience from top European leagues and international competition,” said LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington. “We felt it was important to add another attacking option to what is already a strong group to strengthen our chances of winning trophies this year. Alex’s attacking qualities and versatility will be valuable assets for our team, and it was encouraging to see he is as excited as we are about the opportunity.”
This is a nice move for LAFC. You’re adding a guy with experience and production. Plus, he’s played in big European competitions. He could be a great sub off the bench for Deni Bouanga. Also, could just plug him into different attacking formations. He’s a goal scorer. Good reinforcement for the playoff push and if he makes a mark, he has an opportunity to return next season.
