It doesn’t take much to get on your feet and dance to Gloria Estefan. Now, you can go out and witness it live and stand up and dance to the “On Your Feet: The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan” musical. The national tour starts on October 6 in La Mirada, CA. The show is directed and choreographed by Luis Salgado.
I spoke to Luis prior to the start of the tour. He spoke about what makes “On Your Feet” unique and special. The upcoming tour. Gloria and Emilio’s involvement in the play. Plus, much more.

Luis was super cool. Very passionate. Engaging. Great energy. There is no denying his passion for this show and the people who are working on it. From the sample clips of the show that I saw it looks joyful and spirited. Gaby Albo who plays Gloria Estefan is fantastic. She’s a quadruple-threat, can dance, sing, act and she looks a lot like a young Gloria!
From the sound and looks of it, the tour should be a big success. It got it’s start on Broadway and now the country and several smaller cities will get to host it. Luis seems like a good guy, so much success to him.
