Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is a horror classic. We are officially in spooky season also! Combine the two and you have Paramount+ new Pet Sematary film from Lindsey Anderson Beer. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines takes the story back to the 60’s.
I spoke to Lindsey about the film and what fans of the Pet Sematary books and franchise can expect. She spoke about her inspiration for the story of this film. Getting the cast to sign on. Favorite horror movies, plus much more.

Lindsey was cool. She’s clearly a fan of horror, she named a mix of different films that inspired her affinity for horror. Of course, Pet Sematary is her favorite Stephen King one.
I was surprised they filmed it in Montreal. Looked like Maine to me, but it appears Montreal has a similar looking countryside. Lindsey spoke about the individual actors in the film and how they signed on to do it.
Doesn’t seem like there is a sequel in the works, but from what Lindsey said, seems like a lot will depend on how the fans relate and react to it. It’s releasing at the right time of the year, so no reason to not check it out and have a scary movie night!
