Hulu Acquires Lakers Docuseries

The Lakers are coming! From Lakers’ CEO Jeanie Buss and award-winning filmmaker Antoine Fuqua comes a nine-part original docuseries based on the history of the legendary Los Angeles Lakers franchise.

The series will document the last four decades of the Lakers. Featuring interviews from the most prominent members of the organization, including legendary coaches Phil Jackson and Pat Riley, Hall of Fame players Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and many other current and former players.

“We are proud to bring this docuseries to the world and shed light on the legendary history of the Lakers,” said Fuqua. “This expansive look into one of the greatest sports franchises of all time is a project we all feel deeply passionate about.”

The nine-part original series is set to release in 2022.
