The Beverly Hills Film Festival kicks off it’s 26th annual fest from April 12-19 at the world famous TCL Chinese Theater. There will be dozens of films screened, ranging from shorts, documentaries and features. One I’m keeping an eye on is a film by LA filmmaker John W. Kim and it’s called Reunion.

Reunion is a story of a down on his luck funeral home worker who goes to his high school reunion with the hopes of changing his life’s outlook, only to be mistaken for a famous alumni. This movie will remind everyone who has ever attended their reunion of their school experience and all the colorful characters that were part of that experience and the journey of their class.

I spoke to John W. Kim about the film, which will make its debut at the BHFF. Check it our right below and find out all about it.

John was full of knowledge and interesting stories. Reunion is that film that will take you down memory lane. John is a local Los Angeles filmmaker who willed his way to make this movie locally, especially during a difficult time where the Los Angeles was ravaged by the destructive fires of 2025.

The film stars Jake Choi with an ensemble that has some notable names including Ludi Lin (Mortal Kombat), Madeline Zima, Ryan Hansen, Kelli Garner, Candy Clark and more!

REUNION debuts at the Beverly Hills Film Festival on Thursday, April 16

It takes place in Block 12 at 8:50 pm
