Danny A. Abeckaser’s latest film, 12 Hours in October, based on the events of the October 7th, 2023 Nova Music Festival attack in Israel, is releasing on digital. The film is inspired by the true events and focuses on the first 12 hours of the Nova Music Festival attacks. It’s a personal and powerful portrayal on an that rattled a nation.
The ensemble cast features: Doron Ben-David (Fauda), Yaakov Zada (Fauda), Marina Maximilian Blumin (Fauda), Ariel Yagen (Martin Scorsese’s The Saints), actress, dancer and activist Montana Tucker in a breakout role, Hadar Shitrit (The Perfect Gamble, Virgins), Herzl Tobey (The Perfect Gamble, Damascus Cover), Chanel Omari (iHeartRadio), among others.
The film features multiple character storylines and how each one is affected by the harrowing events of that day.

MY TAKE:
Danny A. Abeckaser is a talented actor and filmmaker. I’ve seen several of his films and they always have a purpose, message and personal feel to them. This is a movie that serves as an educational piece, as well as a emotional experience.
I’ve spoken to Danny on multiple occasions and he is very passionate about his work. I have no doubt that this movie was very personal to him. Check it out if you get a chance.
