TRANSACTION: LAFC acquires midfielder Andy Moran on loan from England’s Brighton & Hove Albion through 2025.
Moran, a Dublin native and Ireland national team player, who was out on loan the past two seasons with English Championship clubs Blackburn Rovers (2023-24) and Stoke City (2024-25).

Name: Andy Moran
Position: Midfielder
Age: 21
Height: 5’8”
Birthplace: Dublin, Ireland
Citizenship: Ireland
Last Club: Brighton & Hove Albion (England)
“Andy is an exceptionally talented young player, who has already shown his quality at a high level,” said LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington. “We are confident that he will strengthen our group immediately, and we look forward to supporting his growth at LAFC as we continue our pursuit of trophies.”
THOUGHTS:
Moran is a young player, at 21, who has a lot of unlocked potential. He will slide in nicely into the LAFC lineup in the midfield and can also play on the wing, but likely will be spending most of his time in the midfield where LAFC could use some reinforcements.
This is a really solid move for LA, for now, but even more so for the future. Moran has a good pedigree and can continue getting playing time with LA.
