The Windy City Bulls hosted the Iowa Wolves in a early December Saturday night matchup at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Wolves ge off to a scorching start, going 3 for 3 from the field. Bulls first six points come courtesy of Adama Sanogo. The Wolves outside shots have been falling in the first quarter.
Ryan Arcidiacono does a good job pushing tempo and speeding up team when he’s on the court. Maybe it’s time to insert him at the start of the game. Bulls have played a spirited, up-tempo first quarter. Windy City takes a 32-24 lead into the second.

Arch cooking at the start of the second with crisp passes and finding guys open near the basket. The Bulls ball movement is leading to some quality shots that they are making. The Bulls continued the momentum in the second, quality shots and getting buckets.
The Wolves offense stalled on several drives. Edwards was their main contributor in the paint. He’s a quality rim-runner with a lanky athletic frame. Reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler. Gotta keep tabs on him in the paint area, or he will make you pay.

After a strong first half by Windy City, they start off the second half with the same attacking mindset. Sanogo gets a couple quick ones and off to the races. The defense of the Bulls can’t be overlooked, they have created fastbreaks from crashing the boards and getting turnovers.
A small run by Iowa to close out the 3rd, but after three quarters, the Bulls lead 84-68. A strong Bulls finish should get them home comfortably with a win.

The Wolves clawing out of deficit at the start of the fourth. Capitalizing off Bulls misses and driving it to the hoop. With under 6 minutes to play the Wolves were within reach and down 11. The Bulls didn’t let the lead squander. They managed to make some big stops to halt the Wolves momentum on the way to a 104-91 victory.
The Bulls made a statement with the performance on the night against one of the top teams in the G League. Bulls pick up their 4th win on the season, while the Wolves drop their second one of the year.
Sanogo lead with a game high 24 points and 13 rebounds. DJ Steward went for 15 points and 8 assists. Jesse Edwards lead the Wolves with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:
Adama Sanogo lead the team in scoring and rebounds, but it was Ryan Arcidiacono was the engine that drove Windy City to a win. His savvy play, crisp passes, pesky defense and pushing and up-tempo offense were significant factors in the victory. He’s the “old-head” on the team and a guy who has been a spark-plug.
NEWS:
Postgame Windy City Bulls head coach Billy Donovan III revealed that guard Javon Liberty-Freeman will be out for an extended time with a thigh contusion.
UP NEXT:
