The summer horrors are just heating up. In a hot summer filled with blockbusters, Cobweb is about to give you some real chills. Samuel Bodin’s horror/thriller starring Woody Norman, Lizzy Caplan and Mike Starr is going to have you checking your walls.
I spoke to the director of the film Samuel Bodin and star Woody Norman about the film. They reveal plenty behind-the-scenes action, secrets from the set, plus Woody tells me about the thing that Samuel does that no other director has tried.
REAL TALK:
This was a cool fun conversation about Cobweb and especially all the fun behind-the-scenes secrets of the film. Samuel was very engaging and energetic. He definitely seemed passionate speaking about the film. Woody is a smart and chill young man. It was my second time speaking with him (first time on C’mon, C’mon).
Several interesting points coming out of this interview. I was interested to hear them reveal several of the behind-the-scenes secrets. I knew there was a purpose behind Lizzy Caplan’s character and the way she was presented. Samuel elaborated on that and that nasty looking “cement soup” that was supposed to be a mushroom one.
Woody shared an interesting story about how Samuel gets involved on-set. He said he never experienced the method Samuel uses. I found it to be unique and out-of-the-box also. I felt Samuel did a good job describing how he creates movie tension in horror. Good background information and secrets of the craft.
The film was entertaining and interesting. Felt it was one of the better horrors of the summer.
