The upcoming Hulu Original comedy Plan B just dropped it’s trailer today, in anticipation of the May 28th release date. First reaction, it looks good. Directed by Natalie Morales, in her feature directorial debut. The film stars Kuhoo Verma and Victoria Moroles.
Synopsis: After a regrettable first sexual encounter, a straight-laced high school student (Kuhoo Verma) and her slacker best friend (Victoria Moroles) have 24 hours to hunt down a Plan B pill in America’s heartland.
REAL TALK:
I found the trailer to be funny and entertaining. There is no mystery about what this film is about, but you could have figured that out form the title of it. I did feel it gave away a little too much in terms of storyline. The lead actresses are rather unknown, at least to me, but I liked that we are getting films with fresh faces as leads.
The film reminded me of a cross between Booksmart and Unpregnant. I’m looking forward to checking it out on Hulu later this month.
