If you don’t know about actor/director/producer Danny A. Abeckaser, I urge you to get familiar with him. As an actor, he’s appeared in dozens of films and has directed and produced just as many. Chanel Omari is a NYC stand-up comedian with a up-and-coming podcast “Chanel in the City”.
I spoke to both Danny A. and Chanel about Danny’s latest film, 12 Hours in October. A deeply personal story centered on the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas on the Israelis. The film starts at the Nova Music Festival and the horrors continue into the villages. This is a must-see film that will educate you and send chills down your spine.
DANNY A. ABECKASER:
I consider Danny A., a friend, having spoken with him numerous times. He’s a talented filmmaker and actor, who has made a mark on the industry. Danny is good people. He surrounds himself with great talent and is someone many in the industry speak highly of. As you can tell, Danny is modest and passionate about his work. He does a fantastic job in 12 Hours in October, and as he confirmed, it was his most personal movie he’s made. If he’s as good at basketball as he is at makin movies, then I have no chance against him!
CHANEL OMARI:
This was my first time speaking with Chanel and it was a blast. Didn’t know she goes way back with Danny A. to their childhood. Chanel is a big personality, full of fun and energy. She’s fun and you can see why she’s a comedian. Chanel spoke glowingly about Danny and working on the film. You could tell it was equally important for her to be part of the project. It’s no surprise she’s part of Danny’s inner circle. Authentic and engaging. Check out her podcasts “Chanel in the City” for cool interviews and unfiltered commentary.
12 HOURS IN OCTOBER is now available on major digital and on-demand platforms including Apple TV, ITunes, Amazon Prime, Google Play, VOD, Spectrum, DirecTV, Frontier, Shaw, Comcast XFinity, Verizon Fios, Plex, Fandango, and additional outlets.
