‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Trailer Debut Reaction
It’s here ladies and gents. The Mandalorian and “child” aka Baby Yoda are back for season two of their adventure on Disney+. The news of the release was accompanied by a trailer (thankfully). Now you know what you’ll be doing on the eve of Halloween on October 30th.
So what can we expect and what does that trailer tell us about the upcoming season of The Mandalorian? Check it out and read my thoughts on it.
REAL TALK:
So the trailer is constructed very well. Gives a glimpse, but hardly gives anything away. Lots of great visuals of vast landscapes. The Mandalorian and Child (makes me chuckle when I write that) will be taking his journey on in space, land and sea (fun boat ride depicted in the trailer).
One of the first reveals I caught was that WWE’s Sasha Banks was seen wearing a hoodie and giving off suspicious looks. The voiceover says “the order of sorceress is called Jedi”right as we see the first glimpse of her. Pretty cool to have Banks be involved in the series, but what will her character be about? Is she a villain or ally? How big of a part will she play in the season? She makes the appearance in the trailer so I lean with fairly significant part of the story arch.
There is a brief shot of Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Carga (Carl Weathers) walking towards The Mandalorian. Will be interesting to see their involvement in this season. Stormtroopers appear also as they apparently are leading a charge to battle.
The best part was the ending when The Mandalorian and Child are at some sort of a wrestling match/fight and they begin to attack and shoot at the Child, but nobody puts baby in a corner. Child shields itself in a egg shaped bullet proof shell. The Mandalorian finishes off the job. Don’t mess with that might ass kicking cutie. He has backup and he’s a badass! Haha
The trailer looks fun and it’s under 2 minutes in length, so just enough to get your juices going and keep you waiting another month and a half for the release.
