Leave it up to Blumhouse to turn a white Christmas into a bloody one. The trailer debut for the upcoming Blumhouse movie, Black Christmas released today. Here are some immediate reactions to it.

REAL TALK:

Blumhouse has established itself as a brand of horror movies you can trust. The cult horror classic is getting an updated story. This time it appears to involve a mysterious campus killer and a group of sorority girls.

I liked that the trailer didn’t give away much, but it left an impression that there will be several swerves and twists in the movie. Imogen Poots, Lily Donoghue, Aleyse Shannon and Brittany O’Grady are the group of sorority sisters that take matters into their own hands in tracking down the killer. I like that this isn’t a high school group, but instead a more mature college aged characters. Just feels more believable that way.

Trailer looks promising. Should be a fun Christmas (horror) themed right in time for the holiday season.

‘BLACK CHRISTMAS’ releases in Theaters on Friday, December 15, 2019
