Conversation With Keegan Connor Tracy: Looks Back on Being Part of ‘Final Destination’ Franchise and on Acting in Horror

If you’re in my age group and were living your best teenage years in the 2000’s then you certainly should recognize Keegan Connor Tracy. She starred in the hit Final Destination franchise and movies such as 40 Days and 40 Nights. In recent years she’s had long and successful runs on shows Once Upon a Time, The Magicians and Supernatural.

Her latest film Keegan stars in is the horror-thriller Z. I had a chance to speak to her about the film. What’s it like to work on a horror film? What are her hobbies at home, and she looks back at her time working on Final Destination. Does she keep in contact with her Final Destination co-stars? Find out by watching the interview.

REAL TALK:

Keegan was really fun to chat with. It was a look back to the past for both of us when I mentioned Final Destination. It seems like it wasn’t too long ago that the Final Destination movies were around (there were 5 of them), but Final Destination 2 that Keegan starred in released in 2003. Wow. I asked her if she maintained contact with any of her co-stars from the film and franchise, but from what she said, it didn’t seem like it.

She plays a mom to a young boy who has an imaginary friend (“Z”) that’s causing chaos and terror in the household. I asked Keegan about working on the film and what’s it like to work on a horror film. I was slightly surprised to hear how normal and non-scary it was for her. You’d imagine getting some slight chills working on a horror movie set, but Keegan is such a pro and done it for a long time so it doesn’t seem to faze her at all.

I’ve been on a run speaking with actors who are into gardening. First it was John Leguizamo, and now Keegan told me that one of her hobbies is gardening. Keegan seems to be a legit gardner with all that she mentioned that she grows.

I found Keegan to be personable and conversational. She’s super cool. Enjoyed her work over the years, she’s had a heck of a career so far. I recommend checking out Z. It’s an entertaining and chilling film.

‘Z’ available on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray on  September 1, 2020
