‘Playing With Fire’ Writer Shares a Fun on Set Story About Keegan-Michael Key

Playing With Fire is out today (February 4, 2020) on Blu-ray. I had a chance to speak to the writer of the film, Dan Ewen, about writing the script for it and his on set memories and more. Dan shares a fun on-set story about Keegan-Michael Key and offers his insight on what makes a superhero movie compelling.

I enjoyed speaking to Dan. He seemed like a really down-the-earth guy. I really noticed his passion for the film and how meaningful it was to see Playing With Fire be made after years of pitching it and trying to get it greenlit.

He shares a fun story about Keegan-Michael Key and his impressively funny improv work on set. He also spoke about the humble nature and generosity of John Cena. Fun stories to hear.

Dan’s perspective on the elements that make a superhero movie compelling and successful was interesting to hear, especially from a writers perspective.

‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’ is out now on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital
