Mid-May offers a blend of movies for everyones taste. A new superhero rose and impacted many. Eric Bana delivers a chilling performance and life on the streets is depicted in a way that would surprise you. All that and more in this weeks releases.

BLACK PANTHER:

One of the most groundbreaking movies of 2018 is finally available for home viewing. Black Panther is a monumental movie with strong cultural impact. Black Panther’s impact rivals that of Wonder Woman. The look and style of the film is uniquely rich with the African culture, but also projects and displays a futuristic progressive world you will be engrossed in.

I really liked the fact that the film portrayed smart characters that were honorable and brave. Chadwick Boseman is the perfect T’Challa. He has a quiet strong presence about him. He’s humble and fierce. Boseman has made a hell of a career of playing iconic figures (Jackie Robinson, James Brown), but T’Challa might be the most iconic fictional character that he instills complete life into.

Black Panther is fun, entertaining and surprisingly visually intense at a couple points in the film. Boseman delivers a superhero that can be a role model to many African kids around the world who haven’t seen a superhero on the big screen who looks like them and they can relate to. It’s one of Marvel’s finest films. A must-see for all.
